I can't wait to hear the results today! Hey Tex-Mex NO FEAR!!! The weather dosen't look the greatest but, I'm sure all the teams will manage. Stay dry and good luck!
Just talked to Omar, the night went well. Stopped raining and blowing at 9pm. Nice day today, sunny highs in 70's

Having judged several of the KCBS events in Utah I would have to say that the quality of turn ins at this one were the best. Overall, good entries with consistent quality, especially in the chicken category. Well done everyone.

Derrick,

Thanks for the feedback. Will you be judging at the Grill On The Hill competition in a couple weeks?

John

P.S. I enjoy your segments on Greg Rempe's BBQ Central show.
John,

I honestly don't know if I'm in town that day. It gets pretty crazy this time of year, but if they need the judges and I can make it I will be there.

As for Rempe, I have to admit I only listen in when I'm on the show (monthly), but I heard you on the show and thought that went great. You have a great blog and I try to check it out as often as I can.

Dave, the wind kicked up again around 3am for a brief spell. Other than that the weather was fine, we would have liked a little more overcast (no rain). I talked with Omar quite a lot there. Great guy and I'm glad to have met him.
