Hey all, I was making Wampas' brisket chili and damn near ruined it with to much cumin. Went searching for some kind of fix and everyone was saying make another batch leaving out the cumin. Well that was not and option and the search continued. I came across and little article saying to add some nutmeg,well being skeptical, I tried a little and let the chili simmer for a bit and low and behold the overpowering cumin smell was almost gone! Hurray!!! so I added just a sprinkle more and WOW! balanced chili!!!! with no nutmeg taste. I have to remember this one cause it really does work at least in this case.
