This event will benefit the UDSF DADS organization. The goal of DADS is to build a strong community of Families in Utah. This connection allows us to share information, relieve stress, and connect with oither parents.

Please Register and invite everyone you know to come as well. It will be a great event.

Plus I am making some amazing etch metal trophies fot the competition.

PLEASE REGISTER TODAY! Everthing is setup for a great event on May 11th. The only thing I need now is people to register.

This event is open to everyone, not just DADS. Please bring your extended family and friends. They can either choose to compete or just simply come to eat. I would love to see a huge turnout. I guarantee the food will be delicious.

You may want to post an address for the event, time of event, and other details.......
May 11th 6:30 am East riverfront park in South Jordan.
I know that there are members of UBO who would be there to support this great cause, however there is a scheduling conflict that weekend with the International Dutch Oven Society on the 9th & 10th that I'm involved with..... Will this be an annual event?
Steve, perhaps you could open this up to all BBQ'ers and not just backyarders. There is only a limited few that can cook this event as proposed. If you would open it up to all, you would get a better turnout.
Pork Chop BBQ has just signed up. Who else is going to cook this fun event for a worthy cause?

I am open to having all pit masters compete. I need to check with soezzy on this since he is handling the competition end.

Thank you!!!! PORK CHOP
I would like to sign up as well. I went "pro" last year for one event to have enough entries to make the event a qualifier. I could still use a little back yard training.

May want to post this on KSL!!!!!
How many of our Pro Teams are going...? I think I am going to come and cook this one.
I'm out, cooking for our neighbor hood party.
I will be helping Ian so not cooking.

Brian
I will not be able to attend. I have a large catering job in Orem that day.
Would like to but also have catering job for Sunday
I would love to cook this event, however I am in CA that week.
This event has been cancelled. Steve contacted me last night. Too bad as this is a great cause. Hopefully this will happen again in the near future.

Brian
Well darn I was about to sign up..Sad
I think it's a great Cause and well worth our support. I think a little more advanced notice would be great as we'd be able to get more people, teams, support and turn-out. Possibly even check to see that it doesn't conflict with cook-offs or other events in Utah or neighboring States.
This contest was first posted on 4/5/13. I don't see how it could have helped by posting it any earlier. Teams just didn't sign up. It was checked at that time and there were no conflicts with other cook-offs or BBQ events in UT.
Of course posting it sooner would have helped. Look how many people scheduled other things. If we would have known about it and it was only open up to the pro division recently! Better planning would have helped greatly.
