Hello All!

How many of you use buckets, or something that you have to lug to a competition, and wash after?

We're coming out with a new Disposable Brine/Marinade Bag that will be extremely easy to use, and will guarantee complete liquid coverage over any size comp meat.

I'm wondering if you think this would be beneficial, or if we should only make a really small run Huh

Our bags will be only pennies per competition. I've been testing prototypes at our comps, and think it's a great idea. However, I don't want to manufacture a bunch, and end up using them as paper weights.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!
Where would I buy such a bag???? I think it would be great to have so I can save on clean up........
How big would these be? Are they any different or better the the 2.5 gallon Ziploc bags?

We will soon be selling them on our http://www.disposablecuttingboard.com website. We're currently trying to see what the best options would be.

We're contemplating sizes. Some people brine in a 5 gallon bucket, so we'll have a thin bag to fit that, and easily remove all of the air so the meat stays submerged.

Another option will be similar to a HD Ziplock for those that don't use containers....
Personaly, I just use ziplock freezer bags from the local market. I just pick them up when I get the rest of my supplies. Honestly, I think you would have to have something really special and cheaper than the ziplocks to justify purchasing yours and paying shipping on top of that. Just my 2 cents worth.
The 2.5 Gallon Zip Locks are great... There is a larger blue version you can get at Wal-Mart but they have a tendancy to leak...

I'm looking at maybe doing a 24x33 3 mil bag. Thicker than the Ziplock Heavy Duty, longer, wider, and cheaper.
Great!
How big of a turkey could you get in one? I always brine when I cook one and this would make it a lot easier

Unless it's the world's largest Turkey, you can easily fit 1- 2 Turkeys...

Ok - we just posted the new bags/liners on our website - http://www.disposablecuttingboard.com

We decided to go with a thinner liner that works great in 5 gl buckets. We also use it to put our meat in after we inject & rub. Then we throw it in our cooler till it's time to go on the smoker.
Matthew, I just ordered some of the bags. We will check them out.
Thanks for posting them.
