Any one stay home and cook for Mothers day? - Dutchovendude - 05-10-2009 11:24 PM

Hi all, We just stayed home and cooked. My special lady wanted "Hot and Spicy", so I cooked up some smoked brisket buritos, rice and salsa. Followed up with some store bought cheesecake.
Just thought I would share some pics with ya.
Mike

Yep, I sure did, but my food didn't look half as pretty as that. I gave my wife her choice and she asked for grilled teriyaki chicken. It came out fine, but I think that's pretty boring. She loves it, so who am I to say? Like the saying goes, if mama ain't happy... Big Grin

You done good, my friend.

John

I don't know John, I have seen pictures of your incredible grilled chicken!
I think Mama would be very happy!

There are a few prominent oxymorons in my life. Two that come immediately to mind are, "family vacation" and "good sushi". Big Grin

we have chat rooms?

- Dutchovendude - 05-10-2009 11:53 PM

I agree on both! I really don't like eating raw fish!

- Dutchovendude - 05-10-2009 11:56 PM

Yes, go to the "home" screen. On the bottom right side the is a section that says "How's online"
It is a button right there and will take you into a chat room.

We had everything shrimp, Ahi, red snapper, squid and salmon. It was a smorgasbord of raw fish. Even got my kids to give it a shot. I can never get enough.

- hossrocks - 05-11-2009 12:20 AM

Picturing Hoss with a handful of Sushi just hits my funny bone.
We made a smoked salmon eggs benedict for brunch and for dinner, Momma wanted Fudruckers.

I grilled a tri-tip steak with corn bread, spinach salad and a chocolate cake with 7 minute frosting. Tri-tip is one of my favorite cuts of beef, fortunately it is my wife's too.
