I want to smoke a turkey and i have no idea what i am doing. how long does it cook for and what would i put on it or in it ?

If you go to the above site it will provide you lots of good detail on how to smoke a turkey. I highly recommend you take the time to brine it too, makes all the difference in the world.

Some other things I've tried lately... Do just breasts, 250* for about 2-2 1/2 hours. And I prefer the enhanced ones, they come out jucier. Or if you do a whole bird, spatchcock it, it will cook much quicker and more evenly. Or just cut it into pieces like a chicken... I do very light smoke when I do them, the breast soaks it up like a sponge and you can overdo it easliy.
