Lorin, one of our sponsors is Standard Wood. There is a changing sponsor ad in the upper right hand corner of our page. Their ad pops up occasionally and is a link to their website. Their address is : 155 West 3300 South in Salt Lake City, Utah. Phone 801-485-9663.
Tell them the Utah BBQ Association sent you

Here is a link to them.

Yo, speaking of Standard Wood, Jamie came by Saturday and wanted me to pass this on. He bought Sampson's Lang 60, and also has it for rent for $150.00 a day and fifty bucks a day after. It comes with some wood as well. Pretty crazy, I remember the first day that Z and April first got that cooker delivered to them, and brought it buy the old restaurant seems like yesterday, boy does time fly? 155 West 3300 South in Salt Lake City, Utah. Phone 801-485-9663. Ask for Jamie

Re: Smoking wood needed
Has anyone used Valley Coal over on 3900 S? I had a friend of my neighbor tell me about the place a few weeks ago and said their prices were fairly cheap. I'm very much a part timer and haven't had to buy smoking wood in 2 years thanks to a downed apple tree at a friends place.

Standard Wood has been a valued sponsor of utahbbq for many years. They have provided a great service to the members of the association with the discounts they provide. I for one have been "hooked up" very well, even living here in Idaho.

Thanks Standard Wood!
