Had to take you up on this, Dan. I went in today and bought the pork injection. I've always wanted to give a try. For me, the joy of BBQ is the creative aspect of developing my own sauces, rubs, and injections. I liken it to creating a work of art, so I don't typically use any commercial products, but I need to know what I'm missing.

Best,

I would recommend going light the first time.

On the brisket I think it's 3/4 cup to 2 cups of juice, I think we got it down to 1/4 cup to 2 cups.

Respice, adspice, prospice. Latin proverb.
Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to smoke a pork butt tomorrow and the suggestion on the bag seemed like a LOT of mix. Besides, at $22.00 a bag, if I like it, I'm going to have to make it last.
