I don't think my wife would let me buy this many pellets.... Now if we get enough people to go in on this we could split them up into a manageable quantity.

Does anyone know anything about this local pellet manufacturer?

I talked with the guy last year. He assures me they are food safe. At that time he was selling them in 500 pound sacks.

I'd be willing to go in on a split order, I could handle 300-400lbs. If we could get it together...

I am willing to buy some. I could get a ton and then split it up. Storing that much for a long time is the problem. I could store a ton for a time in my utility trailer. I will give the guy a call today. How in the heck would you handle 500 lbs of pellets??!! Let me know if you want part of the 1 ton load. Thanks Steve

I'll tried these pellets. The flavor is ok but not nearly as good as BBQr's Delight. My biggest complaint with these pellets is that they leave a lot of ash. I've had a Traeger start to burn back down the auger because of the access ash buildup in the fire pot, this was after two bags of these pellets. You get what you pay for.

I'm sure you can figure it out but I meant to type excess ash.

If I buy a ton, they will go into 55 gallon drums with removeable lids. That would be for long term storage for emertgency fuel. I have stoves that can heat with it as well as cook. Each one will hold 350 pounds.

I talked to the seller he is "Sam" at Arbor Pellets. I am buying one ton of the pellets. They are in 20 pound bags and are on a Pallet. I will pick them up Monday. If anyone wants some let me know, and I will let you have it for a dollar a 20 pound bag. If you want to you could try a small portion first. Or if you want a lot you can call Arbor and get a Ton or more. My work place is 2010 South 2760 West (UDOT). or I live near 3200 West and 5400 South.

Am I going nuts but wasn't it $100 a ton? Now it's $200 per ton

I don't know about you going nuts, I think that's a question of tense, have you gone nuts, are you nuts, could you be going nuts!

I recall it was $1.00 a bag, and 20lbs / bag, that would therefore have been $100 / ton.

Perhaps we could agree to put the sanity question on one side for now, and let Oops perhaps comment on that point later! Tongue

Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!
