Re: Beer Can Chicken
Give Sparks beer a try, it aint worth a sh*t to drink  it has a citrus flavor to it but works well with yardbirds

Smoke it hot 250 + (275 better, etc), as the way to go IMO.

I also put some herbs in the beer too, thyme, rosemary, Italian seasoning, and a little sage.

Respice, adspice, prospice. Latin proverb.
Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!

Re: Beer Can Chicken
Dave.....from all that I have read....you are a true "Packers" Fan......and me....well....I was a fan of what us Baltimorians call the "the baltimore sneaks"....and I remember the days when my father would take me to the game to see the colts kill the packers....ahhhh...those were the days....anyway...it just reminded me of the beer of choice then....National Bohemeian Beer.........I miss that taste......and now it's no longer made....thanks for reminding me......

SoEzzy....I also use spices in the beer....and I also put 4 strips of bacon on the top of the chicken....but again....that was on the gas grill......not sure if it will work the same....whatda ya think...???.....Gene....what is this thing about celery salt.......LOL........

Thanks guys....
