Colleen - By "PC" he means people's choice. The $2 per plate also brings up the question of participation and meat quantity. Many of us, myself included, cook little more than what we turn in. Are we obligated to participate in the People's Choice, and if so, how many folks do we need to feed? I don't want to vend to the general public, but I wouldn't have a problem serving a few PC judges.

Thanks,
John

Colleen, I would suggest pulled pork for the PC meat. Its the most cost effective for the cooks, as they will be using there left over pork that they have cooked for the competition. and easy to hand out in the 1 oz or 2 oz cups. for say a $1..... Just a thought

The rules posted on page one of this post say four meats and the schedule says only three. What's the official verdict here? Also, will the competitors be able to cut their meat off site or prior to transport?

Hey Shane!! Good to hear from ya! The above application will be changed, It will be a four meat/ KCBS rules will apply. Yes you can trim your meats off site. No seasoning or injecting until after meat inspection. Glad to see your doing this comp!!!

Swine Stewards BBQ is in. The check and app are on the way.

Sleeping in the truck is getting kinda old so I'd like to do this comp with a camper. We would appriciate it if anyone out there can put me on to a reasonably priced trailer or motor home that we can rent. Please IM Swine Steward if you can help. Thank you.

Page 2 of this thread has updated info: I have 3 questions for Colleen that I will call her about
PC serving size?? Change the cooking sites from 10x10 to 20x20, and last, can motorhomes/ campers park at the cooking site? or do the have to park in a RV spot ($20/night)

Re: Idaho Competition Village of Trees RV Resort BBQ Cookoff
I had to make another trip across the northern border Friday. Stopped in Village of Trees and Colleen was there. She showed me the layout of the site and looks pretty good for a contest. Shady areas, for some shady characters, water, grass areas, power, close to their convience store etc.. Got our entry fee paid and our RV space reserved. Big Grin Life is good.
Hey, Inf. Dave, are you still out there? Or, are you on night duty with the new one?

Sure, I think I will drag it up. I don't want it to get flat spots on the tires from just sitting! Thanks for the good luck wishes, are we going to see you there?

Hey Phred, did you find a way to get the wood up to Dave?
