Rub Recipe
For those of you wanting to get a handle on the "basics" for a good rub (that you can then "tweak" to your tastes and then call your own), make certain to go check-out the latest on Patio Daddio's blog...

Patio Daddio BBQ

He also recently had an article on what you might want to bring to a comp... Some really helpful stuff for you guys and gals that might be thinking about entering a comp this spring/summer (and/or for some of us that still forget to bring things!! LOL!!)...

Thanks again, John, for some truly outstanding work that a lot of folks around here can benefit from!!

Hey... I think I need to ask PackerBacker if 2 tsp's of Celery salt will be enough of a rub of this volume?

Respice, adspice, prospice. Latin proverb.
Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!

Swing and a miss... STEEEERIKE ONE! Big Grin

I wouldn't recommend nutmeg. You might guess one of the secret ingredients, but the other three would be very tough.

Re: Rub Recipe
We are indeed among friends, Sampson. I think $200 of friendship per ingredient should cover it. Oh, and amounts are extra. Smile

Good buddy, I think it was you who made this remark to Cyclops in regards to who/what was better looking - you or that chili dog:

"Yeah, but that chili dog won't keep your feet warm on a cold night"

LOL!!!! Just giving you a hard time, big guy...

Re: Rub Recipe
So now you will all be subject to my subliminal influence, as each of you go to snuggle with your significant "toe warmer" you will be unable to keep me from crossing your mind. I would think it will help you sleep at night.
