UDS thermometer
I just finished my 85 gallon UDS and need a exterior thermometer. I do have a digital one but I want one that is fixed on the outside.

Please let me know where I can pick one up in Salt Lake or Utah County.

Re: UDS thermometer
I highly recommend the UT300 from Tel-Tru. I have the 6-inch probe version in both of my drums and they are dead accurate. You'll also need the "installation kit" (washer and nut).

Re: UDS thermometer
I've been getting mine off EBay. I use a store on there called bbq stuff 4 u, bob something is his name and he has most any kind of thermo you might want. I'm using 3" dials with 4" stems and am paying about $25 with shipping...

And hey, just so you know... You are required by law (mine) to post pics of your cooker on here, let's get with it

Re: UDS thermometer
Thanks for all the replies! I am trying to down load the picture and don't have it figured out yet. I can't seem to point to where the picture is on my computer.

Any direction would be appreciated.

Re: UDS thermometer
I just got the UT300 thermometer and I need to know if I should put it below the bottom rack or in the middle of the two racks?

I have an 85 gallon drum that has a rack 27 inches from the bottom of the drum (pictures in the link http://bubbleshare.com/album/44459

Any suggestions are appreciated,

Re: UDS thermometer
Stoneman - I mounted mine between the two racks and it works well. I have about a 10* variation between the two racks, so I just keep that in mind when I'm reading it.
