Re: Eagle Rib Cook Off and SpudFest
Regarding the potato dish, this came in an email from Teresa to me this weekend:

"Potato turn in will be Sunday at 6 pm. Cooks choice!"

Sounds like it is pretty wide open as to the dish, garnish, etc.... Hummm... You figure tater tots with a sprig of parsley on some fine crystal has a shot at anything? My culinary skills with potatoes (or is it "potatos"??) is pretty challenged I must admit... Sad But so are my other culinary skills as well, so what the heck...

Speaking of The Gem State, I have had to be up in Idaho the past 2 weekends... I had forgotten just how much I was missing the Dee Snyder radio show!!

See you folks up there in a couple of weeks... Cajun, be getting me some music ready, okay?

Joe! Joe! Joe! Tell me....... Did JR. Simplot grow sweet potatoes? All kidding aside, I think the event organizers are suppling the taters, but you better check with Teresa. Just go with the tater tots, you have enough to do gett'n your other 4 meats done in time Tongue

As for my getting the other meats done in time, it takes quality speed and ability to bomb a contest the way I do  Tongue

I am sorry, Jim... But I am NOT going to smoke General Tsao's "tuber"... I figure that is something for "others" who prefer bus station bathrooms over BBQ comps... And I sure ain't one of those...

Tater Foo Yung? Wait, I think that's just hashbrowns with sawmill gravy. Smile You could use red eye gravy just to give it that "below the Manson/Nixon Line" flavor.
