Competition Cooking Class by QN4U
How much interest would there be by you competition cooks (or those that want to get into it) in attending a class put on by QN4U, an active and winning comp team?

Class size would be limited to 25, cost would be about $250/person.

Class is run like a competition, attendees provide their own meat and cookers, and there will even be prizes awarded in each category, just like a comp. Sounds like great fun and an invaluable learning experience.

Who's in? Looking at bringing them out in April...

(This is not intended to take the place of the Dr. BBQ class mentioned earlier by another member, this is something we have been looking at for some time.)

I am interested. Could these be done in teams?(Could Skinny Boys BBQ take one spot together and use the same grill and meat?)

Also - would you prefer a Saturday/Sunday class, or a Friday/Saturday?

Let me rephrase it a little with regard to the days - would holding it on Sat-Sun PREVENT anyone from coming?

QN4U are topnotch! This team has the track record to back up everything they claim. Many Grand Championships. Food and sauce are the best. A class with them will increase the over all winnings for your team. John Hunt

Brent & Kim are truely some great people, as I was able to spend some time with them in AZ. at Jays house prior to the comp. Dual In The Desert. I would also be all in to attend the class!

I have Administrated this class for Brent and Kim
In AZ and will be doing two more in CA in 2008
For new to mid level teams this will takes years off the learning curve
Newbies that are Class Grads have GCs and RCs to show for it
Expensive No
How much does going out and getting your A$$ kicked cost?

Hey Joe, where does this stand as of right now? Is it still in the works for our area?
And Gene had asked about whether the fee covered a team or just an individual, any answer on that part?

Re: Competition Cooking Class by QN4U
My questions are; Who do I make the check out to? Where do I send it? Where and when do we need to be? I have been looking forward to this class since it was first mentioned. Are there things I can do to help this idea to come to be?

Yo guys, As I mentioned before, Joe and I talk often if not daily, and one of the things that we have been discussing will be resolved, hopefully, by the weekend, about the upcoming QN4U class. There are certain things that have to be finalized. Again, we will keep you informed as things develop. We understand that you, like everyone else, needs to get thier calendar in order, so bare with us please. We have even had inquiries from Colorado, as well. The class will be happening for sure guys.

Re: whether the $50 can cover a teammate rather than a spouse, no. The class cost is $250 per person. Brent tries to promote spousal involvement, and it is ONLY for a spouse that the $50 applies to...

Sorry, but that's how they roll - and I do believe the benefits would outweigh the cost. I mean, this is QN4U!

Just so long as they don't start charging per "student pound"! that could get pricey for some of us...
