Battle of the Bones June 25 & 26
Battle of the Bones is a non-sanctioned barbecue competition in Central Point, Oregon. Entry fee is $150 with a $50 refundable clean-up fee. $10,000 in prizes with a max of 15 teams.

Teams will cook Pulled Pork, Baby Back Ribs, Beef Brisket, Chicken and Chili; all meat is provided. Teams must participate in all categories and in People's Choice (all People's Choice awards are kept separate from Judge's Choice).

Salt Lake to Central Point 740 miles, 12 hours. Just North of Eugene.

Central Point is actually just 3 miles north of Medford (southern oregon), but the mileage is correct. To clarify, I think there is a district called Central Point up north, but not an official City. Thanks Larry!

Sorry Bones, I was thinking Medford and typing Eugene. I used to travil through your fair city on railroad business often. Good luck, should be a good contest.
