Looking for feedback from Lang owners
I got told about a smoker sitting on the side of a road down south. When I got pictures of it it sure looks like a small Lang.

For those of you who spend a lot of time looking at yours, would you give me a quick assessment of what you see? The guy is asking $1800 for it and I'm seriously considering going for it. Thanks!

Sorry, Carla. But hey, I fired off an email to the guy I almost bought a Lang 60 from, and I'll let you know if he still has it.

I really enjoy my Lang model 84, I would reccomend it to anyone. Cooks great and hot. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Sure does look like the first model 60 your found down south for $1800 and the story matches the one that was on KSL ads. This model sells for $2200 plus shipping new. $1500.00 ain't bad but $1300 would be sweet. I've cooked on a classic 84 but I'm not sure this 60 would cook any different other than smaller.

Thanks Joe! I'm gonna keep an eye on that one and see if I can talk myself into making the big commitment. 8)

Oh Carla,

Wish I would have read your post sooner and warned you. The Langs are not the way to go. Since I purchased mine, my grass and weeds have grown to be about knee high. My truck is 100 miles overdue for an oil change, my dog has learned to walk herself and the kids now hate BBQ. Be careful!!! These are just a few of the side effects that will come from owning your new Lang.

But in all seriousness have fun, play with it a lot and if you have any questions that we can help with E-Mail us anytime and we will share our experiences with you.

Look forward to seeing you a week from Friday at the Gallivan Center!

Z and April

Z - You forgot to mention that you had to take out a second mortgage just to buy the hardwood to feed the beast. :-)

See ya in SLC!
