RE: Food Handlers Permit
Jeff. contact your local Health Department. There is a 2 hour class, and about a $15 to $20 fee. The permit is good for either 2 or three years (can't remember). When you have a booth, you have to have at least one person in the booth at all times that has a food handlers permit. Having more than one person with a card helps when someone needs a break for a minute.
Missed seeing you yesterday, it was good times!

RE: Food Handlers Permit
You can check with you need the permit for the area you are going to serve in, (I believe)!

Mostly the classes take place in the evenings, at one or more schools, you need to take your photo ID and the other required paperwork.

Salt Lake County Class Requirements
Arrive 15 minutes early to register.
Bring Your ID. Picture ID is required to register.
Cost is $15. Please Bring Cash.
Most locations do not accept checks or credit cards.

Classes will start on time. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
Children are not allowed. No exceptions!

LINK! These are some of the online places you can take the tests, there is an additional charge, but if you don't have a time or place that is convenient to take the class and do the test, it offers an alternate method of getting your cards, it allows you to print them off on your own computer.

You can then get them laminated to help protect them.

Respice, adspice, prospice. Latin proverb.
Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!
