RE: Smoking on the Ridge
Not yet, I'll post them when I get home if nobody has posted them first, early this evening!

Thanks to all those who helped out, Tom Bean & Cabela's for hosting us and their generous contribution to the prizes, and the care they take of us, Rachaell and Kristina for the organizing, Chris Kerby for all his assistance and hard work, Jason and Logan for acting as runners for Rachaell.

We had a great, fun, relaxing time, and managed a call or two, congratulation to all those that got calls, and thanks to all the back yarders and the pro's, for their attendance and hard work that help make it a going concern, Tom Bean said that they want us to grow the competition year on year, so we will be contacting them about working towards next years competition in a month or two.

Respice, adspice, prospice. Latin proverb.
Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!

I to want to echo the great time we had. It was a fun comp and the weather cooperated better than last year. Congrats to all that got calls.

Just a quick thank you for all the hard work it must have taken to put this event together. We had a great time and are already looking forward to our next cook. Thanks to every body that came by and introduced themselves, we really felt very welcomed.

RE: Smoking on the Ridge Video
Hello all. For those who couldn't be at the competition, here's a little video of the event. Just click the link below or copy the address into your URL and hit go. It should start playing automatically: http://cr-home-videos.com/CabelasBBQ2011.wmv . This is a big file so it will take some time to stream if you are using a slower connection.

I have to appologize to Jesse of Big Johnson's BBQ as the interview I did with him didn't record so it isn't in the video. Not sure what happened but I suspect "operator error." Sorry Jesse, will get you next time.

Hope you enjoy the video. I had a really good time meeting and talking with everyone. Thanks to everyone for letting me put this together.

Randy

Thanks Mike. I plan to. However, if I'm judging, I'll have to omit the interviews or get someone else to do them. Glad you liked it.

Randy... Thanks for doing the video! Probably a good thing you didn't get my interview anyway... Because your camera survived!

Cheers!

RE: Smoking on the Ridge
Thanks all- it was a good time, despite the cold temps. Even though I forgot a few steps, being the first comp and all, it was great. It's always great to get back together again and share smoke stories and meet the new guys and their teams. Looking forward to the next one.
