RE: KSL offset
This one looks like it would look nice in my outdoor cooking area... But the vent pipe needs extending and that griddle above the firebox is going to be a battle of the rust forever. I like the beer holders next to the 100k burner??? and the animal silhouettes

Thanks, for the link, I like it. Elkski are you saying it's not gonna work? I'm gonna check it out unless there's something you guy's see that's obviously wrong with it.
Thanks, David.

RE: KSL offset
Youll have to beat me to it.. I called the guy and tempting but spent to much this month..
I say the flat surface above the firebox is going to look rusty for ever... a battle you cant win. and the vent flue might be better off lowered so it takes air off the bottom of the cooking grate rather than hot air from the top. nice looking grill?? wonder how thick of steel it is made out of??

RE: KSL offset
It's only the 4th and you already spent to much?? hehe!
I like it but not wanting to compete for it so post up if your gonna for sure pass on it.
I have seen on you tube where they modify the store bought char-broil units with drier vent on the flu.

RE: KSL offset
I am not going to get it. It would look cool but for 500$ I should jsut buy the dual stoker for my 2 WSMS and be happy.... yes out of fun cash not just the monthly amount but the quarterly.
Taxes on 3 houses, new tires kids jeep, rebuild tranny on my yukon, odds n end fun things plus 5k for IR heaters to heat up under the porch.
This thing might be 1/4" thick the guy told me 3/8" but cant believe that. he says it is a tank and needs to be rolled across the grass so take 2 hunks of plywood or 3. he says it does have some kind of deflector between the firebox and the smoke chamber but says the fire will come up through when you stoke it up?? not sure about side burners but that is partly due to the reduced firebox volume with the flat top.
??

RE: KSL offset
Just teasing on the $$ I'm always on ksl looking at stuff i have no business buying.
I think I'll try and go look at it this weekend then, if it's still available. I would probably convert it to a Rf smoker if I got it.
Thanks for the info. though.
I like the wok attachment on the side, I like the whole thing actually and will check it out this weekend.

BBQ Guru just came out with a $130 unit called the "Party Q". It is self contained with batteries and is made to fit the WSM direct with not adaptor. I've got one coming.

Hey Larry I'd like to know how that thing works when you get it. I've been thinking of buying one and I really like the price of that! I think I could actually talk my wife into one of those!

RE: KSL offset
Never found the time to go look at it this weekend, and like elkski said I'm just gonna be happy with what I have and learn to use it really well.
I may build my next uds with one of these auto stokers in mind though.

Thanks!
