Most fireplace/wood burning stove stores will carry that. I got mine from a store behind the mall in Ogden.

Isn't tin foul kind of tough when it comes out of the smoker??
Yeh, I agree, these smart phones aren't very smart. I cannot believe some of the things it changes my words to!

Well I first made a chicken reference out of it, before I realized that would be a foul on the fowl!

Mike-
Did you guys get much snow up north?
Yeah your right we need some warmer weather for sure...hopefully soon...that should help out at the restaurant...huh? I wish I was a bit closer, I'd give you a hand...what's it take to get a food handlers permit anyway?

RE: Heat Seal for Smoker
Getting a food handlers permit is pretty easy. Just go up to your city hall or Health Department, read their book before you take the test, remember the temps that you need to keep food at (both cold and hot) along with the rest of the info, and take the test. When you pass, pay your fee (about $25.00 if I remember right) and get your card. You can go on-line and search your city listings to get their study guide and particulars before you go. I just renewed mine in Oct at the Weber-Morgan Health Department. Easy-peasy.

I guess you would have to have one to compete in any contest? How long are they good for a year or two?

RE: Heat Seal for Smoker
KCBS nor the local health department require a permit to compete. But if you participate in a people's choice, and are serving the public then you MAY be required to have one, that will depend on the contest/ organizer or the local HD

Hope this helps
