I ate at the one in West Valley, wasn't overly impressed...although it was their grand opening and it was busy because it was new. It's hard to turn and burn bulk meat while cooking low and slow.

I have not tried the one out there. I always just eat dickies at the Dallas DFW airport when ever I fly in and out of there

Might just have to try it out. My brother is not a fan of the one in WV.

I've been to the WV and the South Salt Lake sites (the one across from Sams club on 3rd W. 19th S. The ribs are ok, but not great. The beans are horrible. They taste like bad burnt smoke. I don't think I'll be back unless someone else is buying.
Sonny Bryans is better, as far as commercial chains are concerned.

RE: New Dickie's
Yo, went to the grandson's indoor football game today, and after we met at the Jordan Landing Dickie's. Having been in the business, I was open minded about things a little more than most, and a lot more understanding about how hard it is to serve a perfect product. When we arrived the place was packed, and getting busier by the minute. We ordered 2 Super Family packs with drinks. I could not complain about a thing, and if I did not have the ability to fix it myself, I would go back. I have had better at BBQ spots, and I'm sure we all have, but today I appreciated what this franchise did for me and my family, and I told the management so.

RE: New Dickie's
Having spent some railroad time and the Dallas/Fort Worth area I've the opportunity to eat several times at the original Dickie's as well as Sonny Bryan's, both in Dallas. Both are outstanding and I know running any restaurant that has been family owned for that long is a first class challenge. It's beyond my understanding that any company can expand their number of stores by more than 100 and still control food quality. I think that's why we see such a bag of mixed reviews.
It sounds like the Jordan Landing store has done just that and I will look forward to trying them out when my choice is down to In N' Out or Burger King.
