RE: Barrel Find
The liner, though food grade is no good to smoke with.

It will take you somewhere between 4 and 6 hours, with a weed burner, and a wire wheel to get rid of it!

For $25 more pick up a barrel that the work has been done on... a much better deal in my mind!

Just my $0.02!

Respice, adspice, prospice. Latin proverb.
Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!

RE: Barrel Find
Ditto what SoEzzy said, that food liner is a PIA. And while safe to store food in, that liner emits a toxic gas that will collect on your food when burnt. Toxic gases are not good for your Q... The reconditioned drums down at Wasatch have an oily, easy to remove spray in them to prevent rust.

Rockin' on two 22.5 WSM's, a GOSM gasser and missing them old drums...
