Nice find...is that 1/4 inch? Maybe the Jensen Bros. over at Jensen Pits could give you a lead, they are fantastic pit builders. I don't have the time or the talent to built my own pit of that size.Undecided It must be rewarding to stand back and picture in your head and have your hands on the metal. Good luck and best wishes as she comes together.

SSS Steel has drops at $0.50 / lb!

Respice, adspice, prospice. Latin proverb.
Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!

Wow thats heavy heavy!! Good luck working that. I would suggest 1/4" or 3/8" MAX! 1/2" will create all kinds of problems you havent even thought about yet. It would make a great Firebox on a 1/4"X 30" X 62" infact it would make 2 fireboxes!! Anyway good luck with that!

Brings back memories of what my smoker looked like in the beginning. Good luck bro, and enjoy the ride. Every cooker has it's own personality, and I'm sure when yours is finished you'll have fun knowing that you made your own cooker, and that there is not another one like it. Get ur done!
