We welcome all judges to come out to the event on Friday and meet all the competitors. For those of you judging, please be onsite and checked in no later than 9:30am. If you are going to be late or cannot make the event, please contact Tom Duncan at 480-209-9685, as soon as possible.
COOKS MEETING: We will have a cooks meeting on Friday, June 29th at 5pm. Please plan on having a team member present, preferably the Head Cook.
You will have the option to participate in People’s Choice. The public will have the opportunity to purchase taste tickets at $2/ticket. They will bring the tickets around to you for a 2oz sample or 1 rib. Please only serve meats from the 4 KCBS categories plus beans. You are NOT a vendor! You are responsible for providing cups/containers, forks and napkins for your samples. You have a choice of participating in People’s Choice on Saturday, June 30th, 2012.
Saturday will be a busy day, so please be ready to go by 8:30am. All vehicles must be out of the event area by 7:00am.
TURN IN TIMES:
12:00pm – Chicken 12:30pm – Ribs 1:00pm – Pork 1:30pm – Brisket
PRIZE FUND PAYOUT:
TOTAL PAYOUT: $15,000
Grand Champion - $3,500 Reserve Champion - $2,500 3rd Overall - $1,000.00
