Hickory Score
Brad at Desert Magnolia's and I teamed up to buy a pallet of Hickory from Standard Wood today. Man, Tom and Jeff took good care of us. This Hickory is the best I've gotten to date. It's already cut to the right length and is seasoned to perfection. You know it's good when you bang a couple of sticks together and it sounds like a baseball bat connecting with a baseball. Can't wait to light it up. Thanks Standard!

A pallet was $600. My half will last me a year.

A cord is 4X4X8, so would that be a half cord? 4X4X4?

RE: Hickory Score
Larry,
This pallet wasn't 8' tall. It was about 5' tall, plastic wrapped and bulging at the sides. I'd say it was about 2/3's of a cord. I have a 1/2 ton F-150 and it was loaded down for sure. Had to go slow on the way home. Hickory is heavy wood. It's expensive but worth it for me. I'm a happy backyard smoker.
