We'll be doing 20x20 spaces but can accommodate bigger. We ask for dimensions at sign-up so we'll make everyone fit. Camping will be on-site, some spots are on grass some on asphalt. Just let us know your preference.

As far as People's Choice payout, we will be doing ribbons for the winners. No cash payout. The Utah Beef Council and the Utah Pork Producers are sponsoring the meat (you have your choice of pork spare ribs or beef brisket) so with having the meat donated we are donating all proceeds from the contest to Tough Enough to Wear Pink benefiting the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.

I'll need a 20X40 if possible...

If we have 15 teams, this is a qualifier for the Royal & Jack for 2013 correct?

We can make that work. And yes, it is a state championship. So with 15+ teams it will be a qualifier.

Must be a 2013 qualifier... it's after the cut off for the 2012 American Royal and Jack Daniels Invitational draw!

Yes, you are correct. It's one of the first qualifiers for the 2013 contests.

Bill Smith from Tooele is the only registered contestant so far. Are you guys going to let him win that easily?

Well if it's the Bill Smith I know, I'd love to see him win, but if it is the Bill Smith I know, I feel he would rather win by scoring against other competitors, than be handed it on a plate! Wink

Good to see 3 Mules BBQ coming out to play, I missed talking to you guys in Layton Hills!

You are so right Chris!
So everyone, get your gear together and your applications in. Time is running out!

But I have some great news!
1) The $20 camping fee is being waived this year to make it more affordable, since some of you may be competing in more than one outdoor contest.
2) The registration deadline has been extended until Sept. 5th.
3) Applications can be turned in by Sept. 5th, but payment not due until check-in.

Before check-in teams must pay at the administration building and pick up tickets. Then proceed to the outdoor cooking contest area. There you will check in and have your meat inspected, and receive further instruction.

If you have any questions you can call Patty at 435-830-4845. Look forward to seeing all of you again.
