Competition BBQ 101 Class
Interested in getting into Competition BBQ and didn’t know how?

Aug 18th from 10a – 3p
Wasatch Front Kia-Isuzu – South side
895 W. Riverdale Road in Ogden

Instructional Class Covering
Chicken - Ribs - Pork – Brisket (you will also get to sample these meats)
Learn from Award Winning Championship BBQ Pitmasters!

The class will cover the simulated but condensed KCBS Timeline for a BBQ Comp.
We will walk you thru the entire timeline from the moment you arrive, to the last turn-in.

I would definitely be there but months ago planned and booked a trip for that weekend down the Green River for some world class blue ribbon fly fishing. Sounds exactly the kind of class and instruction I'm needing. I hope there will be another opportunity like this one again... These are the kind of classes needed to grow interested backyard bbq'ers into future competitors.

At the Utah BBQ Organization Board meeting last night, due to the lack of interest and the meat costs for the class, we have decided to cancel the Comp BBQ 101 class this weekend. We will refund all those that that have paid. We are offering those who have paid the opportunity to work with one of our board members during the Smokin' Up Layton Hills BBQ Comp on August 24th & 25th at not cost! If you are interested let us know here and we will assign you to a team. You can come at anytime on Friday/Saturday or spend the entire time with your team.

We do want to offer those that have paid a chance to learn from one of out board members teams during the Smokin' Up Layton Hills BBQ Comp on August 24th & 25th at no cost!
