food porn: Tried a reverse sear on some NY strips today
A buddy of mine in N Dakota makes a really killer steak rub. Kinda like a powdered worshy sauce. Dusted up a few steaks and threw em on the smoker with the plan to reverse sear em, after they hit medium rare.

Threw em in a cast iron pan when they hit 130 Internal temp, with a little EV olive oil for about 20 seconds per side.

They turned out awesome. I won't cook a steak another way now.

MrZip66 The Smoked Meat Forums are funny folks about what they allow or don't allow, but anything which is attached as an attachment to that site, is not actually a link to the image itself, it is only a link to an attachment, therefore is only visible on their pages!

So please make attachments for this site, or host your images on the web with one of the fee image hosting sites, photobucket, imageshack, flikr, or on your ovn web hosting, and then link to them directly! Wink

We would love to be able to see them!

Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!
