My name is Clay Brimhall and I am an intern with Christmas Box International of Salt Lake. I have specifically emailed you because of your position and regarding a community event taking place this month. In light of April being Prevent Child Abuse Month, CBI will be hosting a fun BBQ Open House event at our facilities in Ogden and Salt Lake on April 29th (Ogden) and April 30th (Salt Lake), from 6-8 PM. The Open House will have delicious food, a silent auction and a number of prizes, all in an effort to raise awareness and donations.

All of us at CBI would be extremely grateful for your assistance in sharing this event with your members, particularly by posting the Open House event on your calendar. I have attached a flier with the all the details for your convenience. You can also find out more at:

If you would be so kind as to share this invite with your members, we'd appreciate it! Please come and join us! Here is some info about CBI=

In light of April being Prevent Child Abuse Month, the Christmas Box International invites Utah communities to “BBQ at the Box,” an open house fundraising event highlighting the experience of real children who have been victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment. This community event will offer delicious food, a silent auction, music, prizes, a meet-and greet with the founder Richard Paul Evans, and tours to help Utahns understand what it is like to be a child staying at the emergency children’s shelters in Ogden and Salt Lake City. This fundraiser is designed to raise awareness and donations during Prevent Child Abuse Month. Suggested donations for BBQ at the Box are $12.

CBI houses in both Ogden and Salt Lake serve children taken into state custody, removed for their safety and protection. In 2013, The Salt Lake Christmas Box House and Ogden Christmas Box House served more than 1,700 children in need. BBQ at the Box will give you a chance to see the incredible work we are doing for youth within your community.

Please come join us!

Respice, adspice, prospice. Latin proverb.
Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!
