Wasatch Barrel has moved
Since we're getting into the season and my wife gave me permission, I picked up a new 85 today from Wasatch Barrel. So I drove to their location off of 9th South only to find out they have moved....less than 5 miles from my house now Sad

For anyone wanting to get a barrel for a new UDS, they are now located off of Bangerter and 21st south in the office park to the NW at 2070 South 4250 West in West Valley. They have a brand new building with an expanded selection (not that we need much more than a barrel but hey, there it is). For anyone of interest, the 85 gallon came up to around $108 with tax. I asked about a discount to the association and they said their profit margin is so small on these that they cannot offer anything.

Thanks for the update and thanks for trying on the discount!
Do you happen to know what their price is on the 55 gallon drums?

Just due to cost I prefer to use the refurb barrels. I think they are running around $25 and they have a light rust inhibitor on the inside you will have to burn out. If you want the larger drum, they only come as new since the used salvage drums cannot be used for cooking.

Here's the start of my new 'super cooker'. I've got the holes drilled for 2 racks plus three vent nipples at the bottom.
