Fried fruit pies
Yo, as a kid growing up in the South, one of my favorite treats were fried pies sometimes known as half moon pies. I still remember the old people working the dough with there knuckles. The key to a good fried pie or any pie is the crust, and Becci has one. We have added these homemade pies to our menu along with, if you want a scoop of Country Rich Vanilla ice cream. The flavors offered are Cherry, Peach, and Apple. Just trying to bring a little South to your mouth!

Had one of the peach pies last night. It was really good ... even without the ice cream!

Re: Fried fruit pies
I was just in Texas , east of Dallas that had those. They had a whole counter just for those fired pies. They had a great little press to make the pies. I will have to come by for one of those pies. Any ice cream?

Re: Fried fruit pies
Yo Rodney, As a matter of fact the Texas childhood days were in Kingsville, Texas also the home of Omar. I know that many places just market fried pies of all kinds. Some do the breakfast fried pies, to sweet fillings of all kinds. Again as in all pies fried or not, the crust is the secret. We serve vanilla ice cream with them.

Mmmm....good. Had the cherry. Man it was delicious. Haven't had one since being at Grandma's house near Hope, Arkansas. Thanks T. and Becci.
