Thermoworks Thermapen
I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a ThermoWorks Thermapen. I picked up their new Splash-Proof Super-Fast Thermapen. This thing is awesome, pricey, but awesone.. I have messed around for years with other temp gauges and never really happy. This thing is fast and easy to use. Funny thing is they are out of Lindon. The Thermapen is made in the UK. I called the company and they invited me down to their new shop. Really nice but hard as heck to find. Dallen, their Sales Manager, sat with me at 4:45pm on Friday talking to me about different options, took me on a tour of their distribution center (they had been in it for two days) and I was able to purchase my gauge there. You can't find them in a retail shop. If you go, ask to see their ceiling fan in the back. Comes from a company called Big Ass Fans. It was appropriately named. Anyways, they said they have been getting a lot of calls and orders after Pitmasters has been on the air. They told me they talked to two guys from the show that day!!! Really nice people there. On the way home I was measuring the temp of everything in the car....the heater, my fingers, breath, etc. If you couldn't tell I like gadgets.

Gene, you can have Oki... It was one of those post card picture days here in the Cache Valley. It snowed this AM and early this afternoon the sun popped out, it got up to about 40, the mountains were pristine white and the sky was deep, deep blue. Absolutley beautiful! Sorry that you missed out!

Duane... You may know this, but will mention it any way  Make sure you order the correct min/max temp reading you want. The first one I got as a gift and it only went to 199*
