Well here is what I am looking to do on Saturday. I would like everyone to meet around 10:00 a.m. I will have a list of things we need to accomplish. If you think you don't have anything to do we can still use you, if nothing else this is a good chance for all of us to get together in the middle of the winter and have a good time. As for things to do we will have potato salad to make up and beans to put together, and meat to get on the pits, and then just a lot of BS to throw around. Looking forward to a good time with all of you.

By popular demand my wife has been asked to make a half-dozen apple pies for the event. We will be baking them Saturday morning and have them down there in plenty of time for the event.

I want to wish the best to all of my UBBQA brothers and sisters supporting this event. You folks are doing a great thing for some troops that will certainly appreciate it more than you'll ever know. It's times like these that show how truly special BBQ folks are. Jonathan, thanks so much for your effort in organizing this.

Godspeed,
John

Just got home from the dinner. Was a great day hanging out with Richard, Jonathan, Dan, Chuck, Chris x 2, Norm, Linda, Lyle and D'Lana, Mike, Rob, T, John (PatioDaddio ... in spirit) and anybody else I might have missed. We fed a lot of folks tonight and they all seemed to be enjoying everything.

Thanks to Jonathan for organizing this great event to celebrate these 2 heros. It's a great privilege to be associated with the fabulous folks in this association.

Respice, adspice, prospice. Latin proverb.
Respice = you didn't use enough spice the first time! adspice = you ought to add spice, you know? prospice = you should be an advocate for spice!
