Fire Water & Ice BBQ Challenge

Postby T » Mon Dec 17, 2007 8:41 pm

I received confirmation on the 2008 date, it is Aug 8th & 9th. Don't forget all we need this year is 15 teams to make it a qualifier. I have a meeting here in the next week or so to go over a few things about the up and coming event. This year the entry fee will be more than last year. I know that it is close to R&R so this is why I'm letting you know ahead of time. We will be sending out letters to past sponsors and also to new ones. We already have some on board. I will keep you guys informed of any developments as they come. Hopefully we can get more Idaho teams involved this year with the increase in prize money?
Mark this date on your calendar, We will also ask again for Judges and volunteers to help out in different areas. We will again do the VIP Sponsor tent, and any of you that are able, like last year, we will appreciate any meats donated in this area. The sponsors loved tasting championship BBQ. Let's make it happen! It's about UTAH BBQ

Yo Chris, thanks for posting the info for me, once again it's proven it takes us all to sail the ship. I will be posting more information as it becomes available, such as prize money increases etc. Once again thanks to all that helped make this cook possible. For those of you that know Jason from last years event know that he is a stand up guy and any questions about who he is and his involvement can be PM'd to me. We plan on making this years even better than last years. I should be making another announcement here in the near future regarding June 6th and 7th, so save those dates. "Utah BBQ Baby"

Yo Jason, right on bro, and yes we have plenty of RV space let me know what size you have. We will draw up a chart with the spaces named, but there will be someone there the morning of load in to direct you to your spot.
Thanks for your early entry man. Tell Linda hey, she's cool.

T - Just for the record, the FW&I is also on my short list for this season. However, my sister (a trained chef) had to move to Missoula under very, very bad circumstances this week. I am keeping my schedule flexible for her, as she wants to hang with me at a comp.

It all really depends on my new job vacation situation. I am "the new guy" who has zero vacation time.

To quote the Col. Hannibal from the A-Team: "I love it when a plan comes together!"
I was pretty bummed that I wasn't going to be able to make the MT comp (I'm at Scout Camp that weekend). And then, BAM!, there's Fire Water & Ice the next weekend! I'm sending off my app and payment tonight.

T, for those of us who aren't big time with the Class-A mobile mansions, can we pitch a lowly tent? Y'know, since I'm a pellet-head, I plan on actually getting some beauty sleep (goodness knows I need it!). Thanks.

Galo

No, I don' need no steeknin' badges! Sleep, I could use. As for staying on the porch all night with the big dogs, not for this mutt. I like to run in the barrio with the chihuahuas! We are going to be in Kearns after all

How many teams do we have so far? If I can get my boss to sponsor me, I might make it.
