Club Med announces next US ski resort in Utah – Hospitality Net


Club Med, a pioneer of the all-inclusive concept, has revealed that its famous all-inclusive mountain concept will expand in the United States with a new property at Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville Utah, scheduled to open in December 2024. This opening will mark the end of the year. the very first Exclusive Collection brand complex (5 stars) in the United States as well as their first new complex in the United States in over 20 years.

The Resort

Located 35 miles from Salt Lake City, Snowbasin Resort is one of the most accessible and oldest ski resorts in North America and will be home to the first Club Med Exclusive Collection (5-star) resort in the United States, joining a selection of Club Med resorts. the most exclusive five-star properties in the world. Influenced by the surrounding region, the 320-room resort will combine American luxury with renowned French craftsmanship from Club Med, as well as architectural and design touches that incorporate elements of Utah and its treasured history.

With direct ski-to-door access to the surrounding slopes, Club Med Utah will be designed to appeal to all types of travelers, including families, couples, and meeting and event groups. Accommodation will include spacious 2-bedroom deluxe rooms and family suites, while private Penthouse suites will be available for those looking for extra luxury. Club Med will offer its award-winning children’s clubs from 4 months to 17 years old for families looking for a more suitable and fun family experience. In addition to meals available throughout the day at the resort’s restaurants and lounges, guests can also enjoy group ski and snowboard lessons, lift tickets, and a heated swimming pool during ski season. During the warmer months, it will be possible to explore more than 3,000 acres of surrounding mountains and valleys through guided activities such as hiking programs, mountain biking, and Club Med’s iconic circus activities.

Snowbasin is 45 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, which hosts 395 daily non-stop flights from more than 90 international destinations, providing access to travelers from around the world. The region offers over 300 days of sunshine as well as “The Biggest Snow on Earth®“, with access to the Olympic slopes, ski slopes for all levels and one of the highest vertical drop in North America.

The project is expected to bring around 400 jobs to the local economy and strengthen the region’s visibility with international customers thanks to Club Med’s all-inclusive ski experience. The Club Med project is part of a larger master plan recently announced by Snowbasin for the mountain, which also includes additional beginner ski areas, new ski lift infrastructure, and retail and accommodation areas at the base.
